I am a dedicated mother of five children, from 8 months to 6 years old! My passion for early childhood education is driven by a deep commitment to fostering growth and development in young children. I am devoted to creating enriching, play-based learning environments that nurture curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. This passion is reflected in every aspect of my work, as I strive to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families.

my educational background
I received my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho, where I earned certification to work with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary students up to grade 3, encompassing all developmental capacities. Currently, I am finishing the last term of my Master's program in Curriculum and Instruction through Western Governor's University. This solid foundation in early education, special education and curriculum has deeply informed my approach to teaching and curriculum development.

After completing my studies at BYU-I, I taught kindergarten in Rexburg for several years, gaining valuable experience in a classroom setting. This unique experience, coupled with my passion for quality early childhood education and advanced training has equipped me with critical skills to thoughtfully design and refine the curriculum used daily at Purposeful Play School.

In addition to my work at Purposeful Play School, my family and I have joyfully shared our journey and insights as parents through our YouTube channel, "The Carnahan Fam." With a following of over 76k+ parents, we provide engaging content focused on parenting tips, child development, and educational activities. Our channel serves as a resource for families worldwide, offering practical advice and creative ideas to support children's growth and learning. The curriculum developed through Purposeful Play School is also made available to parents globally, aiming to provide access to quality home-based early learning for families everywhere.
